How do I redeem my Microsoft Points or Xbox LIVE subscription?

What does it mean if I get the error response "Invalid Code"?

There are two possible causes for this error:

  1. The code has been entered incorrectly - Please recheck the code entered on or your Xbox 360 compared to the code on your order, and look out for similar looking characters such as an '8' which could be a 'B', or an 'O' which could be a 'D'.
  2. You are trying to redeem MS Points from a different region - As specified on the site and product pages, MS Points are region specific, and will only work in the region that they are bought for. Please use our help guide section to find out how to confirm your Gamertag's region before purchasing MS Points to ensure they will work with your Gamertag. A Gamertag's region cannot be changed, so to redeem a code in a different region, you must create a Gamertag within that region.
